S.T.O.P

S.T.O.P: Stop The “Ouch!” Please is organized to increase the awareness of women under domestic and dating violence to youths and to raise funds for these victims. In addition, this event is also used as a platform to celebrate the end of the Fringe Festival, which is held one week before a “Violence Against Women” conference. The Fringe Festival is held in Ngee Ann Polytechnic to educate the students and to publicize the conference. Our event also celebrates the end of the conference, acting as a post-conference party, as if symbolically putting an end to the sufferings of women who face violence at home.

This event was sparked off by a level 2 Interdisciplinary module “Innovation & Enterprise in Action”, whereby we came up with an idea to hold a party for youths. However, we decided to make it a more meaningful event by collaborating with a group of students who are also working on the same cause, Violence against women, and to donate our profits to the two organizations that the school is actively working with, PAVe.

Sponsorships
We would like to thank all our sponsors for their generosity. All sponsorships, regardless of the amount, are an extravagant gift to our event- your kindness is appreciated. By agreeing to sponsor an event for a worthy cause, you have given a team of young aspiring people the gift of self-esteem and courage to venture on this big project. If not for all the generosity, we would not be able to progress thus far and because of all our sponsors’ unwavering support and magnanimity, it allows a fledgling S.T.O.P. team to be able to impact the society, rendering encouragement to the abused women. Once again, the S.T.O.P. Committee expresses our heartfelt gratitude to all our sponsors.
